Gabrielle Union seems to have it all, but one thing that she didn’t have for a while is majority ownership of her hair care line Flawless. It wasn’t black-owned when it first launched.
The actress, author and entrepreneur didn’t want that. She wanted ownership. She wanted to build her own table, not just have a seat at a table.
Therefore, her and her friend and celebrity stylist Larry Sims did just that. Instead of Flawless being owned, it is now black-owned.
Flawless, available on Amazon, is exactly what Gabrielle Union envisioned. She wanted affordability and versatility in a hair care line that wouldn’t break the bank of those in need of great hair care.
She, along with co-founder Larry Sims, developed products that work with a variety of hair types, from coily to wavy and even protective products for all types of hair. They have developed ingredients with include a rice oil complex, lilac leaf extract and Brazilian Bacuri Butter in their detangling shampoos and conditioners, sold separately or in bundles.
