The International Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Ghana’s Ministry of Business Development, the Business for Peace Foundation and the United Nations Development Program in order to help businesses recover, especially from the COVID pandemic, and remain for the future in the Sub-saharan African country with the launch of the For Better Business Together program.
The For Better Business Program of Ghana has support not only from within the country from President Akufo-Addo and the full Ghanaian government, but from Norway’s government as well.
“Even as business leaders navigate COVID-19, it is imperative that we find a balance between profitability, viability, employee safety and happiness. These are defining moments, and business organizations must endeavor to commit to broader goals, including sustainability, social justice and the attainment of the United Nations 2030 sustainable development goals.” – President Akufo-Addo
Some of the For Better Business Together Program initiatives will include:
- an Accra Hub of the ICC Center Entrepreneur establishment
- global launch of the Business for Peace’s Future of Business program
- creation Sustainable Development Goals-investor maps by United Development Program
- support of Small Medium Businesses through COVID-19 Private Sector Global Facility
