Eligible Black Businesses Can Apply For $10 Million Worth of Grants Through Coalition To Back Black Businesses

American Express and the U.S Chamber of Commerce Foundation announced on September 16, 2020 the founding of the “Coalition to Back Black Businesses”

Through the new found coalition and by collaborating with four Black chambers, American Express has committed to funding $10 million in grants to support black owned business COVID recovery over the next 4 years.

The four major Black chambers American Express is in collaboration with include:

  • The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.
  • The National Black Chamber of Commerce
  • Walker’s Legacy
  • The National Business League

Upon visiting the website to apply, one can easily type in the zip code to where the business is located to find out if the business is eligible.

Black eligible businesses can apply here.

Eligibility requirements are a must and include Black businesses that have been economically hurt during COVID-19, have between 3 and 20 employees or individuals working under a 1099 or similar contract agreement (such as independent contractors or self-employed workers), and the business is located in a vulnerable community.
