Who is Marley Dias? She’s the founder of #1000BlackGirlBooks who is now the executive producer and host of Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices.
Bookmarks is the place to go to hear “Celebrity readers share children’s books by Black authors to spark kid-friendly conversations about empathy, equality, self-love and antiracism.” Of course, Marley Diaz is the star.
It’s a brand new Netflix show that started airing on September 1st, and some celebrities that are reading these fantastic books are rapper/actor Common, singer/actor Jill Scott and even ballerina Misty Copeland.
