There is a brand new store in Flint, Michigan – a Black female owned bookstore that aims to promote Black authors and culture.
The founder of this progressive bookstore is Egypt Otis, and it is her mission to have a space that accurately represents black people and allows black and brown people to see themselves on the shelves.
Complete with music, art, books and more, all while focusing on the importance of literacy, financial fitness and appreciating diversity for children through Kusoma Kids Club, Comma Bookstore and Social Hub brings even more life to downtown Flint.
